What is forbidden/limited card?

Forbidden cards are essentially "banned" cards, while limited simply means that you can only put 1 in a deck, semi-limited is up to two in your deck only. Some cards in the OCG/TCG are either forbidden, or limited, and this is due to their ability to create an unbalanced experience for the game.

Ruling

Unlike in the TCG/OCG where you can have multiple limited cards with different names in your deck, in Duel Links you can only have a total of 1 limited card in your deck. For example you have limited card A and limited card B, and you already put 1 card A in your deck, you cannot add card B to your deck even if they are not cards of the same name.
This rule is also true for semi-limited cards in which you can only have a total of 2 semi-limited cards in your deck.

Don't get your hopes up yet people, konami always tends to waste 1 or 2 banlist before we get to the true limits
<< Anonymous

shiranui never died, there you go with your almighty "ban list".
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
didnt die but at least powerabusers cannot use it like u.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
shiranui definitely is pretty much 99% dead now, most people don't use the deck anymore.
Candend
It's been 4 years since its released people said duel links is backrow play/ full of traps yet there's no banned trap in this game so far. Similar case with master duel (TCG/OCG) who wanted handtraps to be hitted but none. Is this irony?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
That makes sense the only reasons why expensive trash decks like satellarknights are playable is because the tons of expensive backrow.
Thinking it twice it's the perfect strategy to make profits
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Traps are an aspect of yugioh game. They do what they areeant to do, protect you and disrupt enemy plays. Also, they have the suprise factor and can lead to mind game bluffing. Personally I hate the 90% monster deck where you just sit and w8 your oppenent for 10min to finish all his special summons while drawing his half deck. Not to mention that these decks are repetitive as he11.

Konami is already starting to release the big quick effect monsters. It seems you'll get what you want soon
<< Anonymous(Candend)

There's no banned ones, but we have limited ones, at least.
KOGNobleKnights
I 100% agree with all these nerfs, including the skill nerfs. This + the increased hp is going to make ranked a much healthier environment.

You can still use noble knight idiot with balance 8 spell 6 trap 6 monster you fool
<< Anonymous

If u r runnin 6 traps in noble knights then i bid u good luck crossing even gold with it!
<< Anonymous

I agree some decks are spell focused and don't want traps

komoney should do a conversion system on the tickets if somebody wants to convert them:
n ticket 10 gems
r ticket 25 gems
sr ticket 50 gems
ur ticket 100 gems
ur/sr tickets 200 gems
dunno what should be done if its prismatic glossy etc .whether increase it further or leave it be
sr dream ticket 1000 gems
ur dream ticket 2000 gems
here you go.

Balance, yeah whatever, Konami. This won't stop me.

AMAZONESS ONSLAUGHT ONLY LIMIT 3 NOW!! YESSSS!!
<< Anonymous
Yami Aster Reply
I've seen some people run cosmic cyclone with Amazoness, but with so much other backrow removal and protection now, it's not a problem.
<< Anonymous(Yami Aster)
Dodo Reply
I think it is also to prevent Amazoness from being played with Invoked.

This indirectly, might be a hint that we are getting some Amazoness fusion support soon.
<< Anonymous(Dodo)
Anonymous Reply
on one side, I'd like those new Amazoness fusion cards, but on the other side.....I want Grace and Gloria from Arc-V to actually have a chance to be in DL ._.

Anyone noticed the sheer amount of Blue-Eyes deck in the current PvP event and in the ladder? That deck is just too F2P-friendly. I'm pretty sure it will get hit soon.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yugioh community is rather hypocrite:

Karakuri: ends in >2 high atk monsters basically vanilla (have no disruption effects) + 2 or more backrow + tons of draw. So brick they had to run restart = OMG BROKEN PLZ NERF

Blue eyes: ends in >2 high atk vanilla monsters + 2 or more backrow + tons of draw + special skill that gives em free resources = FAIR DECK BRUH THEY BRICK LOL, AIN'T THAT GOOD
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
It's really too easy to build a decent Blue-Eyes deck. I guess they will get hit in the next banlist.
<< Anonymous

The only ones that think BE doesn't need a nerf are BE players

^And pro players.

Even players with decent rogue deck could beat BE. It will be tough if that rogue deck facing other meta tho.

They're always hitting the Skills more than the cards (and way more than they should). If that continues, in a not-so-distant future, decks will be more competitive without skills than with them.

better introduce no skill option.

Dear players,
if you wish to play without skill, please play Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos instead.

Thank you for playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links!

No, they should play forbidden memories instead

Desperado will just move to orcust engine that also has its own card to draw more cards.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
It can, doesn't mean it will be good.

You'll be completely relying on luck for Desperado Barrel's effect, making it inconsistent.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Do you play the deck? MoD barely applies in desperado itself since you use the coin manipulation on cup of ace or head judging yet you can consistently pull desperado effect. You all thinking desperado is og barrel dragon.

Orcust desperado trades negation/pof of greed (now MoD will have to choose only one of these) for syncro plays
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
The fact that it has both consistent negation and consistent destruction is what makes MoD Desperado deck powerful.

Any other variant of Desperado deck ranks below it.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
*sorry, consistent negation, consistent destruction, AND consistent way to draw into them

What the hell with the new banlist? Extremely disappointing.

No changes for desperado. Skipping the first draw is meaningless if theres still a pot of greed around, and MS judge not banned. Lol konami really loves these coin flipping faggyts
<< Anonymous

they gonna play 2 pot of greed then and no ms judge.super team buddy s hi t couldnt use it anyway

im done with you your liar and sh it

dont repply to me anymore

not playing Ms. Judge and Head Judging severely nerfed the deck's power, now all they have is destruction and no negation.

degenerate idiot komoney 🔥 still allows 🔥s to run 3 boxing veil and 3 sphere.the latter is used in lunalights so 6 handtrap total abusing destiny draw with veil. the fire king 🔥 "only" uses 3 veil and occasional kiteroid or sometimes sphere.i had to get through 2 boxing bannable piece of 🔥 and sphere.i always attack with the bigger if i have lethal cos i didnt want a third of that 🔥 fag.also 🔥 star seraph 🔥 with darklord draws 10 cards then discards my key card in hand.dark lord and star seraph draw engine together.really fair.also that turn 1 discard with it.🔥 you komoney.

i agree with almost everthing u said but this is a game with coin flip so don't be bother in any case, so try to enjoy it befor it's shut for ever.
