What is forbidden/limited card?

Forbidden cards are essentially "banned" cards, while limited simply means that you can only put 1 in a deck, semi-limited is up to two in your deck only. Some cards in the OCG/TCG are either forbidden, or limited, and this is due to their ability to create an unbalanced experience for the game.

Ruling

Unlike in the TCG/OCG where you can have multiple limited cards with different names in your deck, in Duel Links you can only have a total of 1 limited card in your deck. For example you have limited card A and limited card B, and you already put 1 card A in your deck, you cannot add card B to your deck even if they are not cards of the same name.
This rule is also true for semi-limited cards in which you can only have a total of 2 semi-limited cards in your deck.

Thoughts on the Banlist: It does hit Red-Eyed decks and CAs, but it doesn't make them unplayable, which is a good thing. By making Cyber Angel Ritual limited, it means that players must use Machine Angel Absolute Ritual. That card is fine, and has good recycling options, but doesn't frustrate all the plays like the protection of the first does. As for Red-Eyes? Well, they all still have Wyvern, and Zombie variants have Gozuki. Slightly slower, but still good revival. Champion's Vigilance can be replaced with Ultimate Providence, but there's nothing quite like it. This doesn't πŸ”₯ the meta decks, but it opens up room for new decks to join the meta.

I'm just here for the salt LUL
crazy bitch
lol CA is still strong even without the ME Ritual Spell. Honestly this just makes the PCA less versatile in searching your deck, neighter the Dakini, nor the other CAs get a nerf this way.
BUT REBD and REZ got significantly nerfed... hey this makes CA even a stronger meta lol

EPIC FAIL KOMONEY
Anonymous
the CA nerf was the fastest nerf to date, clearly konami screwed up when they tried to encourage ritual summons to be viable and made it too op,now they regret it,anyone who thinks otherwise is probably a CA user who couldn't get to kog until this πŸ”₯ appeared
Anonymous
I wish they would have limited Dakini to 1 instead of machine angel ritual... atleast u could have done fun decks with the weaker machine angels that way.
Anon
Konami train of thought "Fck these F2P players are wiping the floor with our paying users using CA and balance REBD. Let's just remind them they're here just for fodder."

For example, paying players can still make very strong CA decks using sonic bird. F2P players relied on petit angel for fishing, and its usability is now quite limited.

I'm not saying that CA shouldn't be nerfed, I rather think they shouldn't have been in the game yet. But this is just a D*ck slap for F2P. Konami T bagging us
Anonymous
i just hope this limited and forbidden only apply in pvp not against ai
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Probably against AI, too. Like it is to Restructer Revolution
A.D.
Hit F2P, that's what this is screaming...Balance red-eyes is gone, while RedZ is still playable, Cyber πŸ”₯ can be built even with only 1 Senju and 1 Sonic, while Ninja is unharmed...the f2p version of ninja is quite good, but the other is simply better...fine, whatever....

i come here just to see all the salty player that happy because cv and mar got limited cause they keep losing to this card lol
Anonymous
CA still playable, you just need to replace it with Machine Angel Absolute Ritual
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yea and hope you get matching levels to ritual summon.
Anonymous
Machine angel ritual and red-eyes spirit, completely get why they are limited.
But CV didn’t need a limitation imo.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Blue eyes can't do πŸ”₯ without CV and it's already inherently inconsistent while the best REBD decks don't even need it. We may as well limit enemy controller while we're at it for goodness sakes.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Wrong, the best REBD decks had 3 copies of CV and happily include some more Ultimate Providence as assurance. That is what makes them the best REBD deck.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
My dude just said Ultimate Providence and "best" in the same sentence
<< Anonymous

i think it was necessary to limit at least 1
Guigeek
I'm not against limited cards at all... But f**k their lack of transparancy from the beginning... They pushed us to use our SR tickets on Red Eyes Spirit / Insight and to spend our gems for Senju / Sonic Bird before limitating the key cards of these decks a month later. It happens too late (for us, not for them of course)

you see boy, even if you managed to come up with a really good creative deck that is cheap and the most f2p way you can think of, people will start using it and as long as it's winning a lot,it will become meta, so you will eventually become a meta slave yourself unless your telling me you like to play decks that lose a lot then ok, I get it you like to play to lose weirdo

Metal slaves are people who followed and always played meta, like being πŸ”₯ to meta. No matter how πŸ”₯ing you find the term is, facts are facts. Y u guys trying to erase this term? It will not happen.
