What is forbidden/limited card?

Forbidden cards are essentially "banned" cards, while limited simply means that you can only put 1 in a deck, semi-limited is up to two in your deck only. Some cards in the OCG/TCG are either forbidden, or limited, and this is due to their ability to create an unbalanced experience for the game.

Ruling

Unlike in the TCG/OCG where you can have multiple limited cards with different names in your deck, in Duel Links you can only have a total of 1 limited card in your deck. For example you have limited card A and limited card B, and you already put 1 card A in your deck, you cannot add card B to your deck even if they are not cards of the same name.
This rule is also true for semi-limited cards in which you can only have a total of 2 semi-limited cards in your deck.

Konami is just milking the player base as usual. The next main/mini box should sell everyone a deck far worse than FH to feed Konami's greed with easy cash.

Finally damn iwas gonna invest in this dedc but after they slaughgered sylvan iwas hesitant

I hate this new ban list makes all my decks 🔥 all because they hit Econ

Reply

<< Anonymous

Anonymous Reply

Yeah that was unneeded.

Yet fur hire, by far the steongest deck (+ easy too) is allowed to pack 2 econ.

<< Anonymous

Anonymous Reply

I bet Fur Hire wouldn't be able to carry Econ anymore once the deck is hit.

Anonymous

I dont understand why this list apply to the deck you used playing against NPC. This is none of business for NPC.

Reply

<< Anonymous

Anonymous Reply

Same. I use Aromage-Ra deck for farming, and now I can only use 1 Econ, since I have to use at least 1 Rose Lover.

Tell Konami in the surveys that this should only affect the PvP. There is no problem in using 🔥ous decks againt NPCs.

Tier 0 does exist, it's a term already known for many years in any TCG community.

Konami did you realize you just ruined the sylvan deck?

Honestly Sylvan deserves to get more hits.

Both Hermitree and Guardioak should have gotten hit as well in some way. Perhaps Limit Guardioak and Semi Limit Hermitree.

Oh they definitely realized. That's the entire point, they want to ruin the deck so you move to the newer cards.

Meta changes

How do others feel about the meta changes?

Meta changes:

The nerfs to amazons are not a problem.
They benifit from 5k hp.
They rely the least on econ from all the meta decks.
They have good alternatives for restart.
Remains tier1. Might even become stronger because several other decks got nerfed harder than them. You dont even need 3 onslaught as amazon.

Sylvan got needed nerfs. That deck was way too strong and forgiving.
They will likely remain tier1, just less strong as they can still recycle graveyard cards back into the deck and play with ''card advance'' card. Have to build your deck a bit different. At could possibly fall to high tier 2.

Nerfs to massivemorph and extra extra is great. The extra extra stall deckout deck with no mill is unhealthy gameplay. If it remains viable it got at least a needed nerf.

Masked heroes got probably hit too hard.
They rely the most on restart and enemy controller out of the meta decks. Unless you play that gimmicky version. The 5000 lp change hits them harder than the other meta decks too. Some decks even benifit from it. Celestial drawpower nerf on top. I think they should change the nerf to celestial or maybe release new proper lvl 4 d-hero beaters as celestial alternative.

Georgia will probably become too strong.
Pulse mines should likely be nerfed to limit 1 instead of 2.

Unsure how much noble knights will feel the balance nerfs. They will have to add traps to stick to it.

Unsure how spellbooks will do. If f.e. amazons can keep them into check and the effect of the new structure deck and meta changes.

Cyber angel nerfs seem weird to me.
I hardly ever meet them anymore and the meta doesnt seem to change in their favor either.

We will probably see some zombie decks next season.

How do others feel about the meta changes?

Amazon are still 🔥 broken, with 3 Amazon princesses and two onslaught it's relatively easy to get onslaught on your starting hand...

Cyber angels are brain dead so a nerf to them is nice.

Masked hero needs a limited on anki he's 🔥.. don't know if we're gonna keep 5k lp it was said it's only one season thing so far

Xenon Reply

But Onslaught has only 1 life now to before 2. And it's still countered easily by the same ways before as those countering it didn't get really nerfed.

Jake the Cardmaster Reply

The changes to Amazon and Sylvan were absolutely necessary. I think people will figure out Fur Hire or Wizard will be limited to 2 copies.

I'm ALL FOR anything that increases deck diversity and game balance. There's nothing more important in a TCG in my opinion.

Well....Masked Heroes definitely are not hit hard enough, and Geargia isn't as strong as you thought.
