Friend Duels won't work

So my girlfriend and I love playing this game but we recently haven't been able to duel each other. Whenever we try it loads for a second and then before it shows who we are dueling it goes back to the friends screen where you challenge your friends. I've even redownloaded all the data and still nothing. Someone have this problem too?

I can't try it because I don't have any friends. But maybe you can try it with other friends and see if it works there. You do have other friends, don't you? Or are you a loser that doesn't have any friends?
