I was using my Tyrant Dragon and someone online used Blast Held by a Tribute and was able to destroy my Tyrant Dragon. Shouldn't Tyrant be immune to effects against trap cards?

It's really stupid because, to me, cards like Adhesion Trap Hole and Blast DO target cards. But since it's a generic effect and the player playing the card doesn't actually select a target, Tyrant Dragon can be hit by these traps. So, for example, if you had three monsters on your side of the field and your opponent played Blast it would destroy all 3.

Tyrant Dragon can not be "targeted" by trap effects. Blast held by tribute doesn't target a specific card, just like mirror wall or Champion's vigilance. Tyrant dragon would be protected from cards like security orb or the wild tornado-storm combo.
