Why can't I tribute summon during main phase 2?

My opponent can attack and tribute with a monster played on the same turn, sometimes even setting the last card face down in defense position. And I can't even use card effects.

But you can Tribute Summon in Main Phase 3 if you chain the card "Incredible Tribute from Third Phase" right in the End Phase 2 of your turn. However the card doesn't allow you to go to Battle Phase 3 :(

Duel links uses a speed duel format; therefore, there is no main phase 2.

Main phase 2 doesn't exist but if you mean turn 2, it's because you don't have monsters on the field and a tribute requiers monsters
