I just dueled someone who not only played cards but had some in his hands and his deck number was 28. I took a screenshot and sent it to the programmers cause I have no idea how he could of done that considering max is 30

To me it seems like a colossal waste of potential because decks like the elemental heroes whose main strength lies in the extra deck can never be used at full power because of the absurdity foolish card limits when the synchros show up duel links will suffer because of it's emphasis on speed instead of trying to stay with what works

I don't think you can.
If the game works the same as the actual card game, it would start with at least 5 cards in hand, and two main phases (also 8000LP).
Since the game rule is different, the deck limit is different too.

you need less cards in your deck. the more cards the slower it becomes . you want high atk monsters and fast spells to win in this game

No. Speed duel rules have smaller deck sizes.
You should aim to make your deck smaller to increase its consistency.
