Because you lack level 2 non tuner monsters in your deck

Seems like it is bugged, since you do control only EARTH Warrior-Type Synchro monsters, and thus should be able to Special Summon Goyo Defender from the Extra Deck right away.

Right. I try to do it again in another duel but it's still the same. And looks like Goyo King has a same issue.

I just get why Goyo King can't be summoned. The non-Tuner material should be synchro monster and I didn't read it correctly before.

The effect of Goyo Defender can only be used whilst on the field.

For example, you have 1 on the field and a 2nd one in your Extra Deck. You can use the effect of the 1st one to special summon the 2nd one.
