Actually, they have the best effect. The effect they suffer from can be easily avoided without the need to use any other card.

For DARK, just don't play more than 1 monster on the field.
For EARTH, just don't play any monster in face-up Defense Position.

Meanwhile to avoid the FIRE one you need a card that turns damage into LP gain, to avoid the WATER one you need to run cards with graveyard effect, to avoid the WIND one you have to play a Trap-heavy deck, and the LIGHT one cannot be avoided at all.
