Well then call me no one because I am a fan of Marik Ishtar and your logic is stupid. The dub has a very cool back story for Yami Marik and how he got ibto Marik Ishtar's body. This is also the back story for Marik Ishtar. Odion and Ishizu being involved in those events as well as the events of DL is all BC of Marik Ishtar not Yami Marik.
Marik Ishtar may not have dueled on screen but he was said to be extremely gifted and was trained to duel in order to protect the Pharoh. He was appointed an important position indicating his dueling skills exceeded Ishizu and Odion's. The sub, arguably way more popular than the dub, elaborated on the backstory of Ishtar. Yami was merely a plot device.
It makes no sense to like Yami Marik and treat Marik Ishtar like he has zero relevance when if you pay attention to the anime, read the manga, read the sub and read the storylines established during events in DL, Marik Ishtar has a ton of relevance and these events are building up to you rescuing and saving Marik Ishtar.
OK... explain again Marik Ishtar’s relevance. He never duels as himself; the closest he come to it is using Strings. Basically for every scene Marik Ishtar is in before Yami Marik takes over, you could replace him with Yami Marik and it wouldn’t make any difference in what he does/how the storyline progresses.
Well said. Valencia give up the fap, you're starting to look like an insufferable hoe with that insolent persistence of yours to attribute significance to normal Marik's significance as a "playable character".
I understand your argument. And I know that the whole thing about Marik probably having Dissociative Identity Disorder makes this more of a gray area for others. But he has been in almost all of the other games, so he should be here, too. Konami added an interesting twist of having Yami Marik first. My guess is that Kaiba added Yami Marik into Duel Links first because he only saw him duel.
