This is inaccurate, Sylvans were much more reliant on Marshalleaf than Kumoshroomo. The final builds we saw towards the end of their reign were much more focused and relied on their Leaf for a solid starting play. Shroom was just too slow to rely on and was used only on a need to use basis. Monster Removal was much more important to them than S/T removal because Rose Lover made things safe.
Fur Hire is pretty easy to counter without negation, unlike Sylvans where you needed to actually negate their effects to pull through. I prefer a Fur Hire format than a Sylvan format.
Stick to lower level PVP (not casual because of all the Self destruct farming going on). Your wins still count towards PVP rewards like tickets and gems, and you'll face meta decks occasionally but not as often if your under Gold 3. Farming events is my cup of tea, I only step into PVP if there are tickets to be earned or attractive enough gems/rewards. I only climb the ladder if I have time.
