Staple spell/traps will always be winner in any banlist. Karma Cut, Floodgate, Lance, MST, Fiendish Chain, Raigeki Break, Canadia, Ballista.. Even Dimension Prison, WoD & Drowning used by a noob in gold rank can beat you easily.
For those who say battle traps are useless, you still lose to those broken cards when you don't draw your trap removal in your starting hand.
If only there were monsters capable of destroying/remove backrow da mn, why Konami had to lock spell/trap removal to spell/trap cards only. If there were monsters like that I bet everyone would use them
