No. It does mean something. Getting a rare gem isn't like getting an Ultra Rare one. If it was UR, they would've never put it in this 🔥 deck preset for noobs who can't play
It isn't designed for that. It can destroy monsters stronger than itself while taking no battle damage. It should be UR, not R. That's like saying "Seven tools of the bandit"" shouldn't be ultra rare because it causes 1000 points of damage to destroy a trap card.
