Honestly after playing around 40 duels on kc cup I really see no point in playing this game.
Every deck I've encountered destroyed every backrow or monster I had setup and killed me in a single turn. All the time.
Shiranuis, AGs, Spirit beasts, ninjas, dark magician, elementsabers.
Every deck had a counter for everything I had to play. Every deck could oneshot me. What's even the point...
Just run meta decks like the ones you mentioned and Blackwings. It's what everyone else is doing, so if you don't, as lame as it is, you're the one with the disadvantage.
