Same ! I was going to combokill someone by destroying my monsters with effects... but no counter went on it.
Either the text is wrong or it's bugged

So I've found it does work with Jigen Bakudan's flip effect, but not with Gaia Soul's tribute to gain ATK effect. HOWEVER, it does add a counter when Gaia kills itself. Odd huh?

It seems like tribute is not same as destroyed, so order to charge would be useless to tribute a fire monster too...(?)
