even though its a one trick pony; you could use Swing of Memories. i use to before the 3rd cry :)

There's also Soul Release (Main Box) and Silent Doom (Ranked UR Ticket), but they Special Summon the monster into Defense Position

2 is fine. Many decks that recently topped tournaments (new banlist) only play 2 Silver's Cry.
