A source of gems was to farm legendary duelists, because when droped repeated skills they were converted into gems. Until that Komoney removed.

They didn't removed it, gems still drop from duelists, 1-3 gems. If you are lucky you can gather for whole pack in 1 week.

Konami doesn't care about old players like wizards of the coast so either quit, stay f2p and get more bored over time because there isn't much to do, create a new account and start over, or use the power of happiness I mean money$$$
