This remembers me of those times when people would use Blue Eyes with Joey's Last Gamble and Red Eyes with Kaiba's Beatdown. It's quite irritating that most character-exclusive Skills can't help their own signature monsters and archetypes competitively. Crowler's AG decks and Mai's Harpie decks are an exception.
