You can also try that strategy against Despacito decks, since the players tend to activate Despacito Barrel's effect out of habit, instead of reading first.

But again, that's assuming he can't simply activate a second destruction effect in the same turn.

This card can works against Fire Kings. Summon it when Garunix supposed to reborn next turn. Protect it from battle with Hallowed Life Barrier or Interdimensional. And comes our turn, find a way to attack directly with it.

Don't use Interdimensional, just in case it would forget its first effect is used. Hallowed would be a better choice since this card stays on the field.
