1: That 1000 Extra DEF is a lot more than it seems. It means this card is powerful enough to block a unboosted BEWD (And if you are using Umi or A Legendary Ocean, it can also block a Mountain Boosted one), a Dark Magician in Yami, and other things Cocoon of Evolution can't block
2: This card doesn't take your Normal Summon like Cocoon of Evolution does
