They all have their own advantages and disadvantages.

WOD for example, only works best when the opponent control 2 monsters or more. Sometimes just 800 ATK drop is not enough.

Mirror Wall has heavy LP cost and doesn't actually remove the strongest monster, if your opponent doesn't attack with the strongest monster first.

Treacherous hits two at once, but has "no trap in graveyard" restriction.

Also, note that Widespread Ruin will destroy your opponent's strongest monster even if your opponent is not attacking with it.

Forgot to mention SRH.

SRH is a spell, having both this card and SRH actually means you have up to 6 cards to destroy your opponent's monsters, which is always a good thing as opposed to only up to 3 cards.

Not to mention, against Horus/Silent deck for example, Widespread would be the better choice.
