Good times when Sho came in during the Gladial Island event and actually interacted with the current event and characters exclusive to this game. So sad they didn’t do these fun interactions again.
So good to see someone else liked it. And the almost total lack of interaction between the worlds is a lot of missed potential for fun dialogue. Like ops, Rei ended up on 5D’s world by accident, falls in love with Ushio, silly things like that.
Problem is, it's kinda unlikely considering the time setting. 5Ds is set way in the future compared to GX, and there are hints that each world still follows the timeline of their respective series, indicating that each world runs on their own time, despite lack of barrier preventing each character to meet character from other worlds in Ranked or at the Gate.
In canon, the GX characters are aware of the DM characters. Apparently, Mai is mentioned at some point in GX, and the Paradox Brothers duel Jaden and Syrus at one point.
