generic Rank 3 that destroys any Set card, but sadly, is more useful against Set monsters than Set backrow since the text says "destroy that target", meaning the target must remain Set during the resolution of this card's effect.
Nowadays most backrow cards your opponent Set are the ones that can be activated anytime, meaning they can be chained to this card, rendering this card's effect useless.
good point. but target a set card is the cost, then, even if the opponent flip, the card would still be destroyed. you would be right if the eff was "destroy that set card".
anyway... waiting for more ghostrick support
If the Set card is flipped face-up due to being chained to this card, due to how chaining works, that Set card will resolve first, meaning by the time this card want to destroy it, it's already pointless.
Also, "____ that target" always works that way. The card must remain in the same condition as when it was targeted, otherwise the effect basically fizzles out.
If the effect says "____ it", then even if something happens to the target, the effect still happens.
Cope. It's not "pointless", it forces its activation when it's targeted, meaning they won't be able to use it at a time it would be better for them and worse for you. This card is amazing.
You are really stupid. Alucard only destroying set cards means that it won't do anything if it's a continuous trap. Meanwhile Vermillion, Spirit of White and Scrap Dragon destroy the trap no matter if it's continuous or not.
