I am the writter of red-eyes guide. The deck is indeed good for gaming but has some weak points:
1. It needs too much effort to make it (unlock 2 worlds, level up 3 characters).
3. It is not quite good in auto-duels and is pretty slow.
2. You will have no good deck to start. By purchasing red eyes structure deck you have at leat an already a strong deck to use for farm.
The red eyes strcuture deck isn't even that good. It's a waste of 500 gems. I mean 10 packs isn't much, but a waste is a waste. If you want to go zero gems, just build infernities. A lot of grindy but at least you aren't wasting gems.
Well saying "waste" a deck that has support to a legendary card (red eyes) and is still kog worth is not correct. It will surely return to the tier list when more of its support gets released. It is more an.investment rather than a waste. Also AI uses it perfectly for farm and gives you many points.
After testing the "burn deck" i can say:
-In PVP duels performs ok. Struggles VS really oppressive decks that can swarm the field (Shiranui, DM, Blue-Eyes etc). Really good VS mill decks.
-In Auto-Duels is horrible. Winged Kuriboh are summoned instead of set and Lava Golem rarely hit the field.
-Points earned in each duel less than 3000.
-You can't make it unless you play for days the game.
