Next ban list prediction/thoughts? I think Shira has been around back and forth between Tier 1-3 for quite a while. We gotta admit the deck is just too good and has answer to almost anything even after several hit. And is Konami even considering putting all/ some of those generic staple traps like Floodgates, Canadia, Karma, Ballista, Fiendish into limited 3. I pitied Darklord who has suffered so much from the ban list. I think Darklord contact should be free or put into limited 3.

Those generic staple traps really should be in Limited 3. Also you forgot Raigeki Break.

Also, if they really want to make Shiranui usage drop, maybe put Sunsaga and Solitaire to Limited 2 while keeping Squire there.

For DM, put Rod, Navigation, and Circle on Limited 3.

For Invoked, just put Invocation (and probably Purgatrio) to Limited 3 as well.

I think Crystron Rion should be put at limited 3. Having both Rion & Impact on semi-limited is too much.

If worried Crystron becomes too strong again, then put Genex Undine also on limited 3. Genex Undine has been giving too much plusses for Crystron deck anyway, both SSA & Level duplication version.

The closest they could do to shira now is put solitaire, spirit master to 3 or 1 or samurai to 1 to force them not to run Cosmic Cyclone/needlebug nest. Anything but that and they will 🔥 the deck.

Shiras is the only deck that can still win you when it is top decking and has 0 cards on the field. A well timed shogunsaga can win games out of nowhere. No other deck can do it. Most of them they just go for the big hit early in the game and use all their resources (dm, bw,dragonunity, etc). If they dont manage to win, they loose. I agree only shiranuis can easily make a comeback.

I think the Merchant is referring to Karakuri Merchant Inasichi.

BTW, I have nothing against Shira actually, I'm one of Shira user anyway.

Yeah some of the duel we're I lost to karakuri is when we used all our resources both and they top decked merchant.

as long as there are broken monsters the staples should remain there.imagine when u dont have floodgate and u get blackrosed .plus only karma cut and fiendish should be limited.floodgate is essential to counter the broken monsters.plus floodgate not even broken its a good card

I used Shira sometimes but always got bored after a few duels.

I'm suggesting the ban because I HAVE the deck and know its capabilities. Unlike some people who don't and ask for the ban because they can't handle them.

I, on the other hand, don't have the deck and don't ask for the ban, because I enjoy seeing people argue about it. It's fun to read the arguments from both sides, it's mind stimulating.

I played shira before I reset my account. I reached KOG 2 times but then I got bored. For me it simply feels like shira is the engine and the staple traps is the main deck. That being said I regret I deleted that acoount before finding out the Ghost meets Girls variant using Ceremony of Katon.

I feel they will do that in phases in order to push future "staple cards." Karma Cut is getting up there and same with Fiendish Chain. They want to give those cards playtime before going with new ones.

I play shiranui and I'll say this: it should leave together with aleister, these two don't let the game move forward. I had to spent more than 20k gems in random stuff since no deck has been able to keep up with my shiranui deck, only witchcrafters and they were killed recently.

Now I'll have to dump 20k more gems in random stuff.

How long has it been? 1 year? Without needing to build anything else and in that time only 1 deck that made me worried then it got obliterated by the ban hammer, every other decks was a doo doo.

Shiranui and aleister came too early in duel links. They were and still are ahead from the current power level of most decks. Even later card releases were laughable compared to them (see malefic, machina, melodius etc), thus those boxes were skipped by most players.

This is what happens when decks are given that 1 card that makes the entire combo by itself and gets worse when said card can also be used in the gy and even more worse when it is searchable

Predaplant Chimerafflesia, Magicalized Fusion, Raiden, Sealing Ceremony of Katon just throw all of them into limit 2. And most importnatly, needlebug nest must be forbidden.

Even without Shiranui & Aleister there are still too many broken cards here.

Mask Change, Magicalized Fusion, Predaplant Chimerafflesia, SHS Stealth Ninja, Lunalight Sabre Dancer.. they will haunt you again and again if you think that they are not broken.

True, but aleister is a big reason a lot of decks are getting needed in the first place. Megaroid city is probably next on the ban list. Kinda sucks cause regular roids really need this card. I say move invocation to 3 and maybe purgatrio to 1 so they have to choose between cocytus and purg and they have to choose a combination of aleister and invokation

Aleister 3, Invocation to 2 (no one can complaint with this one since Invocation is used at 2 AT MOST)

Then use the limit 3 for Floodgate and Canadia.

Then limit 2 for Karma and raigeki, with this when some deck that is actually benefited from discarding gets into the game you just limit 2 any random card from the archetype, just as how they limit something in decks that use trunade.

I think it needs to be harder than that. Aleister also doubles as a hand trap and is easily recycled after invokation to search another invocation. They both need to be hit. The hard limit should be in a similar mind as cyber stein. He’s such a generic and extremely good card that they should just save themselves the headache from nerfing mediocre deck types just for invoker

Invoked is good, but not good enough to warrant another limit or ban. Most of the fusions can be dealt with if you have any form disruption. Unless you limit or ban those too.

nah aleister and shiranui are too much for the deck.
Aleister does everything, searches, buffs, recycles himself, messes your opponent's gy and is useful in your gy.

Shiranui gain advantage from just 1 play, the cost of trap cards is non existent for them, destroying them is not enough since they do stuff in gy and have 5 searchers (counting ghost meets girl)

Shiranui will be finish if Konami released more non-destruct removal cards.

Yeah pretty much, non destruction/banish removal would be the best.

The deck that comes to my mind is madolches: they have a monster that shuffles cards from you opp gy back into the deck as quick effect and their boss monster shuffles to deck without targeting.

Konami surely will release Madolches because they are separated in different boxes, but if madolche Xyz comes I might install dual links again and try to build that deck.

Yeah they have (depending on what cards we get) an important card in a terrible mainbox, a minibox has their searcher and probably the rest of the cards will be in a mainbox.

I guess this is where dream tickets save the day
