- Neos Wiseman. Should have been a Fusion like in the anime, it would have been more playable.
- Cyclone Boomerang was nerfed to activate only when Wildheart is destroyed by card effect, when the first time the card debuts, Wildheart was destroyed in battle, and the effect activates.
- Last Resort in the anime activates any Field Spell, while in real life it is restricted into Rainbow Ruins.
There you go, you asked three, I gave you six. In fact, here's a bonus:
- Super Vehicroid Stealth Union in the anime, based on its wording, only halves its own ATK when it can attack more than once. The real life version halves its own ATK all the time, making it useless for attacking since it basically has only 1800 ATK even if you don't use its effect to allow it to attack more than once.
Cybernetic Hidden Technology and Cyclone Boomerang are good examples, I'll grant you that. There is no way in hell Dimension Explosion would have worked that way IRL. Divine Neos is better in the TCG than the anime aside from being able to use its effects multiple times/turn, which wouldn't have happened IRL. Copying Neo-Spacians is rather useless, whereas copying HEROes has some benefits.
Divine Neos is also easier to Summon in the TCG IMO. It only takes 5 materials. Granted, you need to use Miracle Fusion/Future Fusion rather than it being a built-in Summon, but you don't need to run bad cards like Glow Moss, and 5 cards is easier than 7, especially when cards like Elemental HERO Prisma or Vision HERO Vyon can count towards it.
Last Resort probably wouldn't have been generic IRL.
That "Last Resort" example has a point I think, back when it was released, Field Spells aren't as powerful as today, in fact almost nobody used any Field Spell.
It certainly wouldn't have been broken to call any Field Spell, at least at the time Last Resort was released.
Maybe, maybe not. But look at how long it took us to get a card that actually did that. If they didn't have a problem with such a card existing, we would've gotten Metaverse before 2017.
God neos/divine neos, neos wiseman, black panther, glow moss, chimeratech overdragon, cyberdark dragon, skyscrappers, the sacred beasts, are some examples of gx cards that were nerfed.
Black panther anime: Target 1 monster and make this monster have his effect and his atk and def (the stat change was erased in real).
Glow moss: Look the top card of your opponent deck (in real life makes him draw)
God neos: Chimeratech was able to attack for every material (so you was able to attack like 30 times if is possible.
Cyberdark dragon: Was able to use dragons from opponent gy and gains attack for every card in gy, not only monsters
All cyber darks: not limited to lvl3 dragons.
Skyscrapper: The attack increase was up even in the opponent turn.
The sacred beast: were able to summon even with set cards.
Power wall: For each 100 dmg not 500 dmg like real life.
But of course these effect were change because in those years (even today) can be considered really powerful, cards like bubbleman if it haves the effect of the anime it will be banned these days.
You're straight mistaken about Glow Moss, they drew in the anime as well, even in its very first appearance. The only thing it lost was a useless if-they-can't-draw-they-mill-2 effect.
Cyberdark Dragon is one of many that adopted its TCG/OCG effect later in the anime. Same with the Sacred Beasts (noticeably Uria).
Dark Panther obviously wouldn't have happened IRL.
The real point, anyway, is that GX doesn't have an unusually high number of such cards. Look at any series other than Vrains or maybe Arc-V and you'll find a large number of similar examples. (Probably MORE in 5D's and Zexal, honestly, even ignoring the Numbers' shared anime effect.) People just seem hurt that cards like Volcanic Doomfire sucked and seemingly just assume they didn't in the anime.
U want nerfed gx cards
