Those cards are a weakness to these weak outdated versions, anyone with half a brain cell is using spellbook of wisdom x2 to save viere from such traps
You talk as if other decks are immune to those. Ever since Cocytus got banned, most monsters are susceptible to those, by themselves.
In case of WC: I play the standard version, using Kiwi Magician Girl to prevent targetting and destruction. It's not really reliable, though, Kiwi is unsearchable, since we don't play other Magician Girls. So I bring Spellbook of Wisdom, Storm & Forbidden Lance.
