If 5DS is ever going to be released,all current METAs are going break,and quite possibly,all players who spent their time farming and battling to be someone in the game will probably leave. All I'm saying is,5DS will break everything. And if that happens,most people will be mad. So,yeah,not a good idea.
What you don't realize here, is that there are people who genuinely like Synchro and will start playing DL the moment we have 5Ds world.
Not to mention, 5Ds is more than 10 years ago already. It's not like it's still too modern at this point. 5Ds is part of the nostalgia for some people now.
Because of all of the above, for one people leaving, there might be one or more people coming in.
I told you mate, if you want old school yugioh you should play the classic yugioh games because Konami will always implemented modern gameplay in their latest yugioh games.
They considered it dead 10 years ago because of synchro. Duel Links went back to the basics with rituals and fusion for special summons. 5ds may 🔥 off Fusions as they did before.
Just a bit depressing building a deck for months that then becomes obsolete in 1 update. I guess hoard your gems now, you are gonna have to start again.
The fact so many people still play Yugioh during 5Ds era, even i think 5Ds era is the best yugioh era cause there were various competitive decks available at that time. You can leave the game but claimed "so many players leave because of synchro" without knowing the fact will only embarrass yourself and now you want to repeat your stupidity 10 years ago
Yeah, those people 10 years ago who said Yugioh is dead because of synchro, are just the minority and are clearly wrong.
The number of players actually increased further, it was during the middle of 5Ds era that Yugioh received the Guinness World Record for the highest sales for a Trading Card Game. Obviously, there has to be a lot of players still playing for this game to receive such award.
5Ds won't break 🔥. There are only few cards/combos that Synchro could bring to the game and they sure as hell won't add all the cards from the start. The Meta probably will stay the same with addition of 1-2 new Sychro decks. The game will break only if they start adding boss cards like Grapha, Dark Law, Shining etc.
