Ya I agree. At the same time, I feel it’s gotta be hard to balance the consistency some craved from a 20 card deck with the old school feel that others crave while still progressing power creep at a reasonable pace. They seem hesitant for completely banning cards, which I kinda appreciate.
Time limited boxes would 100% affect the ban list as boxes would no longer be considered f2p because of their availability. That’s what could’ve been the true komoney. I completely disagree with you saying a lot of cards should be banned. Maybe limited, but outright banned? Nah that means you just suck. You know you can make your own rules elsewhere
Powercreep is a natural thing to keep things from getting stale. Fighting games also do it with DLC characters. No game that aims for longevity can avoid it. Give an example if you still disagree
Well yes. No tcg can avoid power creeping. But power creep can be used wisely. By making each card having 3 or 4 effects, total immunity e is insane. Konami just keep old classic cards and release some good support. By replacing them with newer cards that are treated as the old ones is disrepect to their history. Soon we'll get a dm/bewd with an op effect stating this card is treated as dm/bewd.
Balancing wouldn't be a big deal if you could errata all cards every few months. But for printed Trading cards, that's not an option. So the only other option would be to update the banlist all the time. But then it would probably contain 10.000 cards within 20 different categories. That's even worse.
Indeed. Konami proved that Duel Links and TCG are both completely unrelated and that if needed they can always errata any card in the game or create new cards that don't exist in TCG.
