It doesn't shine against Amazon. Arfeudutyr can only destroy one card a turn and weakens your monster, plus most traps in a typical amazon deck can activate in response to it, like Canadia, Onslaught and Willpower. You can't recover of your Drystan is flipped face down and you lose the equip spell, whereas Amazons can easily recover a destroyed monster or Onslaught. You get outresourced and lose.
Amazoness is dead. You can play around canadia... If you chain gotnk to canadia onto your drystan you still get the destruction effect. If you have a drystan and summon medraut they can't target medraut. Ppl will misplay with canadia,tth, econ because drytan's protection. Once you get 2 monsters it doesn't matter that much cause you can bounce the equips.
Unless your opponent doesn't know what he's doing, people will always canadia/floodgate any noble knight you normal summon which means you are going to lose that 1 monster that you get from balance. After that you need to topdeck a monster, which is not easy on a deck that only run 6 monsters.
