Agree with both. The best part of the manga for me: Jaden still gets defeated by Aster, only he does not get a rematch to win like in the anime. Lol

Honestly Judai kinda sucks in the manga for whatever reason, despite being the main character.

After the introduction of his friends where he defeated them all, he just keeps flip-flopping between winning and losing.

Perhaps that's why his manga cards becomes way more powerful when they are printed in real life.

And, the manga is canon.
However, I really like that "get your game on!" theme lol and the fact chazz pursued alexis almost during the whole show lol

The manga is canon to what? It's definitely not canon to the anime considering how the characters met each other and their decks.
