The last time I checked, there is a good number of players submitting triamid as KOG decks so the deck is at least decent. It's a new player page remember that. So what are you going to advice new players? Build Onamat/TD and watch those decks get nerfed/powercrept before you can even complete it.

All im doing is recommending new players a deck they can build in day 1 pretty easily. IMO if youre starting now, it's better to wait for a new meta shift than trying to build the current best deck as a stronger dwck might be released before you can even complete the current meta deck optimally.

He did not even say it's meta deck. He's just giving new players a cheap option for a decent deck so they have a deck to play in ladder while they save gems for the next meta deck. Many player are reaching KOG with triamids so it's safe to say it's decent.

If you are just waiting for the next meta deck wouldn't it be better to start saving for it now? From rookie to KoG you get around 600 gems (then you only get 200 per month since you start in legend) vs the 10k triamid costs, why to take such a big detour?
If the idea is play pvp and saving gems a cyber angel, cyber dark or a 1 time red eyes SD would do

I do not, the cost/benefit ratio is terrible not to mention the cheap version of a current tiered deck is around the same price range, even though it's a cheap version it still has the same good matchups across the ladder (including the matchup against triamid)

New players get 3-4K gems right off the bat depending if a new box is released or not. Triamid will cost you less than maximum of 5K for the 2 Guardian of rock box. TTH is a staple so I won't count it in the price of the deck. Triamid Sphinx will cost you more gems but Karma cut is in that box too so it's not a bad investment for future. Even the cheapest weak version of harpies will cost 15K+
