To get the 9 mission points on floor 30 (Pyrorex mission), I've used Labyrinth Builder and Lava Golem. I played 6 Fire Monsters since on try 1, the boss used Monster Reborn and snatched one if my 5 fire monsters. I beat the mission on my 2nd try.
Lower the boss' LP with Lava Golem only. Once the boss' LP are 1000, special summon Pyrorex, targeting Lava Golem to deal 1500 effect damage. Keep in mind you will get 1500 damage as well. Don't summon Lava Golem too early since you don't wanna drain the boss' LP before you have Pyrorex on your hand and before you have 5 fire monsters in your graveyard. Retry if you draw Lava Golem too late.
I simply added Pyrorex, Flame Sprite and Sealing Ceremony of Katon to my Phoenix Deck, worked for me on the 1st try.
Reduce his LP with flame sprite (no need to destroy any monsters). If that's not enough, use Enemy Controller and attack once, before using Pyrorex. Sealing Ceremony of Katon will help you to have exactly 5 fire monsters in your GY and will prevent him from summoning Pyrorex.
