What defines your strength in this event? I'm supposed to be a 5 star and all I face is people in legend 1 or better ranks, WTF, I am not even gold.

The goal is to make you feel miserable enough when you see opponents use flashy broken and expensive cards.

Just don't pay too much attention to it.

^ yep that, the idea is to pair you with stronk p2w that stomp you every time so you go and spend aimlessly in a rage attack

if you are 5 star, if not because you are legend then it's because you got to round 2 of last Kaiba Cup.

The star rating has nothing to do with other PvP stuff. It's just your current rating in this event. Lose a few duels and you'll get back to 4 and eventually 3 stars.
