Tribute summon is an outdated thing in this game. People can special summon so many 3k+ effect/synchro monsters. Normal monsters can be summoned without tribute to be fair. Yes, effect monsters must require tribute!
When people can special summon 5 times per turn. What is a normal summon now? 3000 attack points without effect is nothing. That dragon is no match in front of Shiranui Sunsaga 3500 ATK with banish protection.
Imo opinion special summoning has destroyed yugioh since the beggining. They should put a new rule like you can only special summon 2-3 monsters per turn or you can only special summon a level 5+ monster per turn. It is ridiculus we play in a format where you can only normal summon once when 90% of the times we just special summon.
