Bold claim: Darklord wins vs Stall Weevil decks.
How? Outstall it. Sit on one monster, don’t attack. This is possible because:
1. Darklord never ran out of cards because they keep recycling
2. They never ran out of LP because of Sanctified
3. Most of their effects are quick effects
So basically deck them out. If you see Parasite or Lava Golem, Tribute them.
Vs ASW that kamikaze? Negate ASW using Sanctified AT BATTLE STEP (at Attack declaration opponent can cancel attack). They’ll get destroyed and opponent will take the battle damage.
The good thing about vs Weevil decks is, most of the time he won’t OTK you so it’s ok if you’re a bit bricky. While vs AG, Ko’aki or Six Sam, you can’t afford to stall turns because they WILL OTK unless they also brick (which also happens quite often with AG and Blue-Eyes).
I won vs Weevil decks this way. You don’t have to worry about WoD or Drowning when you don’t attack.
Blue-Eyes can’t recycle, which makes the deck basically sucks vs Weevil decks, even though they have backrow control in Dragon Spirit of White. I mean, even with backrow control, Six Samurai also loses to stall with Spell/Trap negation.
Also won vs most of them. Most of them kamikaze using their Swordswoman and Princess and they take 1400-1700 every 🔥. So they can’t take more than 2 Kamikaze. You can keep summoning monsters from GY that way. Also I carry 2 Treacherous, because there’s no Rebellion (Konami pls).
You cant deck them out.
Most stall decks are using a lot of cards just in this case and Pot of Avarice on top of it.
I use 23 cards instead of 20 in my Amazoness deck for mirror matches
Amazoness onslaught will banish your darklords. My friend. So. you can't stall against weevil. You should try to otk him fast and play around wod and drowning mirror force
Your ASW will have its effects negated, so even if you do get to banish a Darklord, YOU will be the one taking the damage. And Darklords can do that more than once. Do that twice and you're in critical condition.
Darklords also can just destroy the ASW with TTH, or destroy the Onslaught itself using backrow removal, or Econ take the ASW. All of them are something the deck can afford.
So you will be able to banish just 2 Darklords, while the Darklord deck still has many monsters to summon, all while you have a dead card in your S/T zone.
