Time machine doesn't destroy the monster it revives it only revive it at the same battle position. The card with that description is regretful rebirth that has effect that destroys monster it revives at your end phase

Time machine can also be used on an opponents monster to give it back to them. This sometimes is relevant to get past other monsters with high attack or, more rarely, to trigger specific effects.
