Konami didn't learn. K GO will be a mistake just as DSoD. These can't be a complete world, the game wasted an entire year with DSoD, didn't give anything to the game, no new mechanic, no plot, no new events, no anything.
They can make a better world than DSOD which was just a standalone movie. KCGP can cover characters from at least Waking the Dragons and Grand Championship and probably the Virtual arc as well.
Leon VonSchroeder, Zigfried VonSchroeder, Raphael,Gurimo, Yugi/Joey/Kaiba(Legendary Dragon decks), Rebecca Hawkins, Duke Devlin, Serenity Wheeler, Gansley, Johnson, Lecter, Nezbitt, Crump and Noah.
The thing is that the decks of most of those characters are already in the game (and they have a while of being there). What can konami give to keep KCGC fresh? It has no new mechanic, most of the characters would be the same (not even a new drawing style) and those that are new are completely irrelevant and nobody cares of them (only raphael, noah and the guy who uses geh are popular)
Armed Dragon just got 9 support cards. Wind Witch just got 5. Infernity just received 5 support cards as well. Are you really going to tell me you know for sure none of the characters I mentioned will get any more support Duel Links can use to introduce the characters I listed between 2021 and 2022? A new mechanic doesn't need to be introduced every year and who you think is popular is a bias.
New mechanics usually mean less players. I really DON'T want to see pendulums, links even xyz. And I would love to see the old characters remastered once again from the OG series rather than all these new stupid characters of newer series who imo never became a part of yugioh soul.
I hope they make one. However, according to DSOD movie reception, this is really unlikely to happen. Come on Konami, most of nostalgic players are in their late 20s early 30s. We are not gonna visit cinema to see a yugioh movie. Better release the movie in youtube, netflix etc.
