It is still sad, but at this point, there might not be much that we can do aside from accepting that he might not come. For all we know, Konami might have decided to only include so many characters from each series and that could be why they decided to put lots of cards from Axel, Adrian, etc. in boxes. Only time will tell.

Maybe DM girl as Mana with magician girl cards (apple, lemon) and Kisara with more Blue eyes support like maiden of the blue eyes. Sounds too good to be true.

I think we will never know the real story because Kazuki Takahashi suddenly changed the plot if I remember correctly. but Kisara was a foreign woman, not an Egyptian and Kaiba (Seth) took power from her, which means he Took her DNA or something like that.

I am okay without him since I use Aster and Zane for almost all of my duels. I just want to know what happened to him. At first, they made it look like he would be here with all of the leaked images and scenes with him in Battle City and Yami Marik events. And then...nothing. Can't one of the creators do an interview on duel links meta and talk about future characters?

Regular Marik wasn't especially plot-relevant. His most noteworthy feat was giving Yugi Slifer. Aside from that, all he did was reveal his plans to Yugi. Granted, Yami Marik isn't very interesting, either, but he was a more effective villain.

I like him, but I don't understand the thiefshipping obsession. Marik and Yami Bakura just had a brief alliance to use each other to hurt Yugi. They weren't even friends. And now almost nobody wants to write stories about him with other characters or just by himself.
