Awesome scene! Mr kazuki takahashi never wanted to make Kaiba an enemy, but just a strong guy with some anger product of his past, his father and the corporation.
I disagree about Goku and Vegeta because it was never truly a rivalry. Vegeta has always seen Goku as an adversary ever since he decided to remain on earth, even if he did take him on in the buu saga. He knows that he benefits from Goku's mere existence. It may be the same with yugi and kaiba but theirs was definitely more of a rivalry for a long time.
