From experience: losing the deal gives you higher chance at getting "good" reward. But since losing only net you 1 chest, farming for 8 chests is still better
I have never farmed him, only auto duels from the beginning of the event... I have 3x of each card and a prismatic Zwei.
Farming this duelists is only a waste of time, unless you are farming also for skills.
