It doesn't care how it leaves the field (as long as it didn't destroy itself), and it's mandatory, so can't miss its timing. So yeah, Clash would work, as would, say, Tributing it for a Tribute Summon.
Also, it's pretty much how DS Carly defeated Sayer lol. She banished Aslla Piscu with Future Vision, causing Aslla Piscu's effect to wipe out all of Sayer's remaining LP.
