Not being able to directly search it doesn't make it not a powerful card.
Also, realistically, while we probably won't get Commandant in the Selection Box (we've never had a new R/N card introduced in one), it's likely we'll get it when Necrovalley ends up in a main set.
Planet Pathfinder cost your normal summon, it also makes your deck inconsistent. As vampire player, i'm more worried to Sealed Tomb than Necrovalley, since it can be activated anytime and your opponent can combined it with otk deck like Fur Hire and Koaki.
