Tea Gardner

Anonymous
I seriously question what was in 4kids' mind when they dubbed Anzu Masaki as "Téa Gardner"....who the hell named their daughter "tea gardener"???? What next, "Coffy Gardner" and "Kakarot Gardner"?

For one, "tea" and "Téa" aren't even pronounced similarly. Second, it's an actual name, so what's the problem? It's like complaining if they named her Jane. Not everyone is going to keep a super-Japanese name, nor realistically should. Localization happens for a reason.

I'm not asking for a Japanese name, I'm asking for a sensible name.

And I don't know where you live, but here in my area her name is pronounced the same as "tea".

No, her name is pronounced "tay-a". Not "tee". That's what the accent denotes in the first place. They likely did go for a pun with the last name, granted, but her first name isn't pronounced even remotely similarly.

"Téa" is an actual name, whether you can bring yourself to admit it or not. Seriously, the internet exists.

Man have you ever watch da a-nee-may?

Lol, her dialogue isn’t the beat. Your losing scene sounds dumb.
