It's konami manipulating the meta to increase sales, nothing out of the ordinary, they always do that in physical format but it's far easier in duel links.
Release new trash cards>make them OP with a skill>enjoy profit>nerf skill>said cards return to trash tier. Repeat
I feel bad for gandora whenever they nerf their skill it won't be playable anymore, other decks can still kinda play once they are nerfed, gandora is unplayable without the skill
