sorry man, I didn't see this comment earlier, the kc cup build is invalid now, here's my current build =
3 Urknight(a must),1-2 ice, 1-2 Boulders (don't go with 3), 2 prototypes (for survival), 3 iron cores(a must), 1 Maximus, 2-3 hey trunade,2-3 normal kuriboh, 2 flute of kuriboh and 1-2 TTH (one is better).
Skill = draw sense wind: easy activation requirement to constantly draw ur only maximus!
How are your matchups? No triple kuriboh anymore? Flute for deck thinning? Still prefer spheres over them? Willing to invest in them, like the playstyle, hand management and decisions with this deck.
The deck is good but not to the the point of investing into it, it's my favorite deck that's why I used it,2 flute + 3 kuriboh is bricky, actually yesterday I replaced the other flute with econe and it was working just fine, I don't have sphere kuriboh that's why I'm using the regular one, remember you must play with the toggle to let ur opponent use all his resources then kuriboh the last attack.
Let's talk about the flute, it's a filler card to thin the deck so you don't draw ur kuribohs in ur normal draw phase(you must activate it before you draw again or else you will run the risk of drawing kuriboh) + the card is good against cyclone : 1000 subtracted from ur opponent lp + less backraw to deal with incase you didn't draw hey trunade.
Hand management:
This deck is all about the number of cards in hand so going 2nd will give you a huge advantage, hey trunade is not always dead as you can use it as a fuel for Ice's effect. If you go 2nd and you succpect ur opponent running a cyclone (zane) use the flute immediately (don't set it), if u can survive without kuriboh Don't use them (fuel for ice).
Decisions:
When to go in is the biggest decision especially when ur opponent skipp there attack, going for ice or prototype is the 2nd biggest decision (if you suspect a chaos hunter or a Dragon ice go for ice), sometimes it's better to go with Boulder!, who to die and who to stay during ur end phase is the 3rd most important decision ( if u suspect a sowrdwomen and ur lp is low 🔥 ur maximus).
Cheers for the replies! I got what you say about fav deck. Looks like we got something in common. Went 8k in till I got the third Urnight. Been experimenting with them all night. Match ups are good, unless you brick. Even then I got Grit as backup. I am not running any of the flutes or (sphere) kuribohs. Full aggro deck. I am tweaking it up every 5 games or so, depending on what I face the most.
Matchups:
1.Yubel: easiest, you must check for ebola if possible (fake ur OTK, especially if you have 2 Urknight), ice can 🔥 any yubel form.
2. Amazoness (if u go first set Boulder if not and ur opponent opened with princess don't set it, hey first then 🔥 onslaught with Maximus and 🔥 queen + any other moster if possible with ice.
3. Fur hire: hard matchup (ice can clear the field)
The part of when to go in is solid. I mainly bait with Urknight and or Boulder for an activation or sphere tell. Next turn I`ll throw in Sandman and go for a 🔥 with Max.
UA: ice is a killer
Vampires: Don't let them steal ur life points
SBs: if they open with silent magician you will likely lose
Burn: easy because your field is likely empty most of the times
Synchro decks: easy
Heros : if you survive the OTK you will likely win.
I tried grit and I didn't work for me for many reasons:
It will protect you once when ur lp hit 1 so if ur opponent attack again( most likely heros) you will lose, vampires stealing life points is devistating, grit is not tricky as ur opponent Will be aware of ur OTK plan but nevertheless it's a good skill and if it work for you then stick with it , try destiny draw it's also good
Faced a lot of Silent Magician decks so I teched in Spiritualism twice instead of Trunade. They end up negating it, wich they can`t so you can swarm Urnight into Ice. At that point I got TTH`d alot so I could econ take her. Spam Max, use his effect and go for the kill. Seems to be working good. Added a Sandman to make up for it.
I thought about spiriulism, thr the problem is it's one for one, it works fine with Spellbooks but I rarely encounter SBs that's why I remove it and once I see SBs again I will tech it.
Ddraw has that brutal 2k requirement. I would run it, but like you said it`s easy to play around it. Bandit seems like fun, perhaps I`m trying that.
What if you lose your Max¿ Only Ice could save you vs Fur Hire? One seems a little less for my taste, haha.
LC0 is easy, Espa Roba is the man. But wait are you willing to bait? I am curious now :D
Sandman is really good but the idea of tributing him to negate a trap usually disrupt my otk plan, with spiritualism or any one for one remover you will need him but with 3 hey trunade you will rarely need him.
I thought about the one max problem but the thing is I usually die before I summon another max as it's costy to summon and costy to maintain, playing with one max makes it harder to decide but lesser to brick
