If I equip an opponent monster does I take life point damage if it attacks me direct ?
Anoymous
Based on the wording, you will NOT take any damage.

You WILL take. You don't take battle damage from attacks INVOLVING this card. A direct attack doesn't involve this card, therefore you WILL take damage.

A direct attack involving the monster equipped with this card does in fact involve this card, therefore you WILL NOT take damage.

I've read bad strategies before, but this one is the dumbest by far. You WILL take battle damage because it's just another direct attack.

You only do not take damage if the equipping monster battles another one. Period.

Damage from a direct attack is still treated a a Battle Damage, so you're the dumbest one here.

If it wasn't Battle Damage, Gravekeeper's Vassal wouldn't need to have any effect at all.

Also, nowhere on the card it says anything about the effect applying only while battling another monster.

Meaning it won't stop applying even if the monster is attacking directly.

Last, there are cards that specify "taking/inflict battle damage from a direct attack".

Wattcobra is one example.

So yes, damage from direct attack is still Battle Damage.

I remember once, a stage mission says inflict 3000 battle damage, I use Blue-eyes directing an atk to the opponent, but the mission refused it. So when I tried battling with a monster with more than 3k damage the mission says it's done. Imma bit confused now.

My only guess is that particular mission is mistranslated and you're supposed to specifically attack a monster for it.

Although, wouldn't be the first time there's a hidden requirement. The mission to summon Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth cannot be completed using the golden cocoon quick-play spell, you actually have to summon it old-fashioned way.

What a HUGE WALL TEXTS just to discuss non-existent effects. You clearly don't know how to read

There is no skin in Duel Links. All costuems are default.
Lol, her dialogue isn’t the beat. Your losing scene sounds dumb.
