Before throwing yourself for a dd crow remember that everyone said exactly the same about lances and look what happened to it, side deck material at best.
Think about twice, can you deck really play dd crow? You have enough consistency? You have the draw power to get it when you need it? Compared to the usual traps dd crow is rather situational and can't save you life as a karma/floodgate could.
Lancea and D.D. Crow are 2 different cards in many ways.
Lancea only counter decks that benefits from banishing cards, such thunder dragon/metaphys/etc. and when thunder dragon was meta, lancea was used alot.
But Crow literally counter any deck that use GY, and gy is more common than banish. your opponent try to recover a blue eyes with his stone from gy? ddcrowit, and so on with other decks
Also most of the effects target that card they want to use in their graveyard. This means that most of the time you know what to banish, you can also banish navigation and cash in, really DD crom has a lot of use which makes me sad since the box seems not worth it except because Chain and crow are in there. Typical Konami move.
I think Lancea is still better than D.D. Crow (so far) because Necrovalley is still see to play a lot with Gravekeeper's itself, Blackwing, Metaphys, etc. Also DM players usually bring Kycoo not to mention Chaos Hunter that usually played in D/D/D deck and other decks. D.D. Crow has no specific searcher and we have to wait RR Force Strix to be released.
Ah yes, because necrovalley can be activated during your opponents turn right? and cosmic cyclone can't banish it isn't it? you can't never EVER compare a handtrap with other card.
I have to agree, currently hand traps are the best card in terms of activation. Its very hard to proactively prevnt it, you can only react once it's activated. Also for the guys that said its a brick for blackwing, if managed to destroy raikiri and they dont have necrovalley they wont be seing raikiri on the feild again.
I almost forgot about Force strix can only search level 4, lol. Not level 4 or lower. Handtrap is good but don't treat them as a "God" I mean Yu-Gi-Oh is not about disruption, isn't it? Except you are playing exodia.
D.d. crow will see play, like Skull Meister when we first got him (Btw still believe skull meister is better). Despite that, soon players will understand how bricky it can be and eventually replace it, just like lancea. D.d. crow was a good card in tele-dad era, for those who remember it.
