So I'm somewhat disappointed by the schedule post-GX. Sounds to me like we have a plain-old Duel-A-Thon, for one. Bonz looks like he's gonna be roaming instead of unlockable, and Yugi's back way too soon. It rather annoys me. Now, I suppose that if they do recycle the Yugi event, at least they'll probably add Bonz to the 3rd section... but that's just a hope of mine so I can get more Millenium Coins. Now, I can say that I'm looking forward to the presumed Crowler event, and the Kaibacup. I just think that a fair number of these events were not the brightest idea.

I think they are bringing the Yugi event back so soon because some player may revisit or start this game because of GX and as Union Attack is part of most Farming Decks Konami wants to give thos player the chance of obraining this card quickly

Oh no, Bonz being just a roaming LD? That would be awful. If that's the case, then the Duel Monsters world events for the upcoming month look really bad (Duelist Kingdom back so soon?). I just hope that they don't forget the DM world with the upcoming GX world (still waiting for Marik Ishtar as an unlockable character here...)

You guys know Marik Ishtar is virtually the same character as Yami Marik, right? I even wrote a reply once detailing all the reasons there was no reason to add regular Marik, the main thesis being that Yami Marik and regular Marik ARE THE SAME CHARACTER. There's no dividing line, like there is between the Yugis and Bakuras. Just rewatch season 2--- the only difference is the amount of tongue used.

Doesn't really matter in Duel Links since it's a virtual world and everything is possible there as far as I understand it. Also the reasons for me to want Marik as an unlockable character? 1) he's one of my favourite character, 2) he could bring some gravekeeper support to the game (we never saw his deck so it could be anything) and 3) I'd just love to see the dialogue for him and YM.

His deck is the same as his Yami form, unless he created a new deck out of thin air when he was on Kaiba's blimp... or maybe he just thought "I know, I'll carry these extra cards with me just in case the slightly more evil me takes over and wants to play in the tournament too."

No dividing line? Marik changed his ways and was willing to give up his life to stop Yami Marik. He also helped Yugi and the others in season 5. And ultimately, he loved Ishizu and Odion. In the beginning Marik wanted to 🔥 Yami Yugi and friends to get revenge for his ancestors. Yami Marik just wanted to kill, kill, and 🔥 some more. Period.

In the japanese version (I think it was that one), Yami Marik did mention to himself that he changed Marik's deck a little. But I don't know if the change was really substantial or not.

I think that they are waiting this long to release him on purpose, because they know that people want him and are willing to wait. It was the same with Yami Marik. He, Pegasus, and Yami Bakura were all previewed at the same time during a festival, but they release the latter two multiple times before the Yami Marik event started. And then YM was referred to as "The duelist you have all waited for"
