not during dmage step. it means WoD, draining shield, sakuretsu, widespread, or any spell/trap cards that activates in damage step will not trigger its effect
I used on main phase The Eye of Timaeus, targeting Magician of Dark Illusion as a "Dark Magician" on the field, while having another "real" Dark Magician on the graveyard. I was hoping it's effect would allow me to recover the DM to the field, but it didn't activate. Instead, just the effect of The Eye of Timaeus kept going and summoned a fusion monster. Did I missunderstood something?
